The Bretten High School, MGB Big Band, is from a small town located in the southwest region of Germany. Bretten, much like Claremont, has a population of approximately 28,000 residents. The group will include 26 high school students, the band director and his wife.

During their stay in Claremont the Bretten students will be involved in various performances. These include a concert in the Village West Courtyard, a performance with the Claremont High School Jazz Band at the Candlelight Pavilion and a competition in the Riverside City College Jazz Festival.

The MGB Big Band from Bretten, Germany took second place in their competition in the Riverside City College Jazz Festival!!

Fabian Torka (who plays alto saxophone) won for "Best musician" of the entire festival!!

The Courtyard concert is scheduled for May 11^th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This concert is free to the public. Both bands will play at the Candlelight Pavilion on Wednesday, May 14^th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Next year the Claremont High School Jazz Band is also planning a trip to Bretten, Germany.
